What Miggy is
Snap your menu. Miggy types it in.
Miggy is the assistant built into POSmates. He does the typing a shop owner keeps putting off: point your camera at your menu, a recipe or a supplier receipt, and he fills in your products, recipes and prices.
You reach him by tapping his face at the top right of every screen. That is also where he tells you when something needs you, like a payment to check or stock running low. Type a line or send a voice note, the way you would message a person.
As the owner, you can ask how today's sales are going or what is running low in the branch you have open, and he answers from that branch's own records.
He never changes anything on his own. He can read your shop's figures, but his chat cannot change your stock or your prices, confirm an order or a payment, or message anyone. Ask for a change and he tells you which screen makes it. And when he reads a photo for you, everything he filled in is there for you to check and change.
What he is actually for
The work he takes off you
Not a list of features. Three jobs that eat into a small shop's day, and what he does about each one.
The typing you keep putting off
Point your camera at it and he reads the names and the prices, so you are checking a list instead of typing one.
- Your menu, a price list or a delivery receipt: your products and prices
- A photo of a recipe: the recipe and what goes in it
- A supplier receipt or a price board: what your raw materials cost
- No recipe written down? He looks the dish up in the POSmates recipe library and fills it in for you to check
The thing nobody in the shop is watching
These come to you, under his face at the top of every screen, so nobody has to remember to check.
- A customer says they paid, with a Verify payment button
- An order has been waiting too long
- A Messenger chat needs a person
- Somebody clocked in late
- In the morning, the items that fell below the level you set
The help you would otherwise go looking for
Ask the way you would ask a person, by typing or with a voice note. As the owner, you get answers read from the sales and stock records of the branch you have open. To change something, he tells you which screen does it.
- “How are sales today?”
- “What is running low?”
- “Which items are selling best?”
- “How do I add the stock that just came in?”
- “What does this receipt say?”
How to use him

- Type it, or say itType a line, or tap the mic and talk for up to a minute. You can send a photo, a PDF, or a CSV or text file too, and he reads it.
- Read what he writes backHe answers in plain words. Ask as the owner about sales or stock and he gives you your shop's figures. When a change is needed, he names the screen that makes it and repeats your numbers so you can type them in.
- For your menu, tap PhotoOn Products, tap Photo and point your camera at your menu. He fills in the list, you check it, and nothing is saved until you press Save.
